Some Skorpions, ruined
It just happens that as well as owning an MZ sidecar outfit I also have a couple of MZ Skorpions.

The Skorpion is a marvellous machine, combining a radical spine frame built for lightness, with a thumping 660 single engine that is at its best above 5000 revs. Even fitted with an illegal pipe it puts out 50hp at best, which is pathetic compared with twins or fours of similar cc, but it makes up for that with wonderful handling and loads of spirit. It's a lively machine but no-one can claim that it's smooth, and it doesn't like pulling from low revs or chuffing along steadily.

And then some people go and fit a sidecar to it.

You can see that as well as stressing the frame somewhat, all these owners have found that the thumping power delivery, while trying to shake off the sidecar, has also had the effect of twisting the standard forks, so various solutions have been tried, either heavy leading links or that strange double tube affair.

I may be completely unfair here as I haven't tried one. But I'm not sure I want to.
