After WW2 the two main German sidecar firms were left on either side of the Wall: Steib in the West and Stoye in the West. In the same way, BMW was left in the West and Auto Union in the East. Auto Union became IFA and then MZ.
Stoye kept their brand name until 1971when they were merged with with MZ.

DKW were part of Auto Union. This is a Stoye/DKW machine.
